Welcome to my Virtual Fridge Door |
|
People like to post humor on their refrigerator door. Nobody knows why, except that earlier attempts to stick things on the oven door probably charred them beyond recognition. I launched this humble, self-serving, ego-stroking site in 1997. When it was featured in Newsweek, The Wall Street Journal and received numerous awards such as PC Magazine Top 100 and Best of Forbes, I realized there are no standards online. Now in its 8th year, I have tried repeatedly to put this site out of its misery but can't figure out how to delete it. So out of force of habit, I update it when inspired and if not inspired, I update it some more. As a result, Bob's Fridge Door may have the distinction of being the longest running satirical feature on the Internet from an individual. This site also led to a career as a Cybersatirist lampooning the Digital Age during the Technology boom, which was profiled in The Wall Street Journal (2nd time they obviously ran out of interesting topics to report). I've since expanded my satire to take on the whole world of business with a "standup with a laptop" performance called "Funny Business."
